Archive's Londinium is a very urban record, capturing the atmosphere of London city life like never before. Sparse, beautiful, chilling, sorrowful, a wonderful vision of isolation in a modern world. Especially brought to life by those wonderful analogue synth sounds/5(44). Reply

Anyways, for what it is "Londinium" is one of the greatest ever trip hop albums, partially on the strength and use of mellotron and organ sounds. This adds an extra, extremely unique angle to most of the tracks on the record. Otherwise, this is some nice, smooth, tight trip /5(3). Reply

Londinium is the debut album by London -based trip hop band Archive. The title is taken from the Roman name for London. Roya Arab is the principal vocalist throughout the album, and Rosko John provides rapping. "Skyscraper" uses a sample from " Mmm Skyscraper I Love You " by Underworld. Reply
